The Gem Cave[]

The Gem Cave is a cave to the left of the Lookout Trail and can only be unlocked with a Golden Key. Within the Gem Cave, you can mine gems. Players can farm gems while away from controller (afk) since neither the gem crystals (the mining locations) or the pickaxe break during mining.

What are gems?[]

Gems are an in-game currency which can be used to purchase many different items in Jimothys Outdoor Supply such as furnishings (e.g. the Infinite Campire) and lures. The Gem Cave provides an alternative to gem acquisition besides purchasing gems with Robux or completing quests.

Unlocking the Gem Cave[]

A Golden Key is required to open the Gem Cave. A Golden Key can be bought with 750 robux or caught manually from the player's fishing hole with a 1 in 500 chance.

To open the Gem Cave with the Golden Key, walk up to the Gem Cave and aim the crosshair on your screen at the yellow 'Use key' text written on the Gem Cave entrance then click the R2 button on PlayStation to open the Gem Cave.

Once you use the Golden Key to unlock the Gem Cave, the cave is permanently unlocked.

How to mine gems in the Gem Cave?[]

To mine gems, you need to buy a pickaxe from Jimothys Outdoor supply which costs 125,000 coins.

Walk up to one of the many gem crystals and begin mining. Gems are mined at a rate of 1 gem per 3 seconds, 1,200 per hour, or 28,800 per day). A gem crystal can only be mined by one player at a time and each crystal provides the same rate of gems.
